Oct 7th - Why Referrals are Important
Every week about 75 minutes into our marketing meeting, Michelle says “Now it is time for the most important part of our meeting”.
This is the point on the agenda where we give and receive referrals.
The referral passing portion is really the main reason we attend every week.

Not all of our business comes from referrals; however referral business is critical in today’s world of competitive business.
No matter what new technology is available, PEOPLE are the heart and soul of every business.
Buying and selling still boils down to an interaction between individuals.
People buy from people..not organizations.

When you are in the market for a product (like a computer) or service (like acupuncture) and someone you trust gives an endorsement to a particular person or company, a lot of weight is placed on that referral.

Serious business professionals know that referrals are most often reliable, rewarding and the least expensive way of getting business.
Why?
Because if the giver and the recipient handle a referral professionally, a referral is the MOST powerful endorsement you can receive.
The key point …is to learn the best way to handle a referral both by the giver and the receiver.

Over the next couple of weeks we are going to talk about the role and responsibility of the referral giver and receiver and why good referrals are the cornerstone of a successful business and a successful business chapter.
